Description:
Deconstruction
and building materials reuse is a vital alternative
to demolition and landfilling of demolition waste.
This research project will determine the economic,
technical and policy issues effecting the deconstruction
and salvage industry, determine the constraints,
opportunities and procedures related to advancing
the concept of building deconstruction with the
intent of salvaging building materials for reuse.
Implementing recovery and reuse will lessen the
solid waste management burden and reduce environmental
degradation in the State of Florida.
