Learning to LEED is an intensive two-day course offered to design and construction professionals interested in passing the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Accredited Professional Exam. The course both facilitates exam preparation through slides, quizzes, study tips, and other resources, and provides the tools necessary for individuals to implement the LEED product suite as part of a design team.

  • ARE Forum (select "ENTER Forum," accept terms, and choose "ENTER LEED Topics"): The ARE Forum was designed by and for architects but features a subforum on LEED with topics applicable to everyone. Individuals often post study materials, test-taking tips, and information about the exam on different threads.
  • Whole Building Design Guide: An online database of information on whole-building system design and construction technologies and techniques, provided by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS).
  • Sustainable Building Technical Manual (approx. 3MB): Available for download from the Whole Building Design Guide. The 300-page SBTM, published in 1996 and sponsored by the U.S. DOE and EPA, provides a solid if sometimes outdated guide for green design and construction, touching on many practical features in categories reminiscent of LEED.
  • Cascadia Chapter of the USGBC: The "Resources" section of the site provides links to books, flash cards, exam questions, and other LEED study materials available for purchase from the Chapter.
  • Saeger Design Flashcards: Downloadable flash cards (some free, some not) created by an individual who recently studied and passed the LEED-NC v. 2.2 exam.
